Terms and Condition eSIM
- Smartfren eSIM is a digital SIM Card that allows customers to activate cellular packages from Smartfren operators without having to use a physical SIM Card (Nano-SIM). eSIM can store telephone numbers, subscription packages, network configurations that allow subscriber devices to connect to the Smartfren network.
- Smartfren eSIM can be used by customers subject to the terms and conditions for subscribing to Smartfren telecommunication services.
- Customers can enjoy Smartfren eSIM internet/data access by using supported devices such as iPhone XR, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone Pro Max, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, Samsung S20, Samsung S20 +, Samsung S20 Ultra, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, Samsung Galaxy Fold, and Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.
- Smartfren eSIM can only be downloaded to one device so it cannot be re-scanned on another device if the eSIM profile is already active on the previous device.
- Re-scan can be done with the following conditions:
- Can be done up to 10 times on the same device.
- If the re-scan has reached 10 times, for the 11th time the QR code cannot be used anymore (there is an error notification on the device screen). Customers are required to do a replacement process at the nearest Smartfren Gallery to get a new QR code and a fee of IDR 15,000 will be charged.
- To move the eSIM profile to another device, Customer must do a replacement at the nearest Smartfren Gallery to get a new QR code and a fee of IDR 15,000 will be charged.
- For customers migrating from a physical SIM card to an eSIM, the old SIM card cannot be used again after the migration process to an eSIM is successful.
- If the customer wants to migrate from an eSIM to a physical SIM card, the customer can visit the nearest Smartfren Gallery to get a physical SIM card.
- Customers can enjoy internet packages that are available specifically for Smartfren eSIM such as 90GB, Unlimited, Nonstop, and POWER UP Plan. Customers hereby understand and comply with the terms and conditions of each internet package.
- Customers without prior approval from Smartfren, are not allowed to shift, sell and or transfer Smartfren eSIM to any party.
- Customers are fully responsible for the use of smartfren eSIM, including but not limited to (a) invoices arising from the use of the customer's Smartfren number; (b) content sent / received (download or upload) by subscribers; (c) direct or indirect losses suffered by customers and / or third parties as a result of using smartfren eSIM.
- If necessary, Smartfren can apply data access speed adjustments to customers if the use of the Smartfren eSIM Package access service is beyond reasonable limits or excessive which can interfere with the comfort of other Smartfren customers.
- Terms and conditions smartfren eSIM is an integral and inseparable part of the terms and conditions for subscribing to Smartfren's telecommunications services.
- Smartfren may change the terms and conditions of Smartfren eSIM without prior notice. To find out the latest Smartfren eSIM terms and conditions, customers are expected to always access this page.
